Since the FDA has announced it will move forward to try to ban menthol cigarettes because 1). black people like menthols and 2). menthols are worse for you, even though 3). they say there’s no such thing as a safer cigarette, which means 4) there’s no such thing as a more dangerous cigarette – I’ll be focusing on the FDA in this article because boy, they deserve it.
Specifically, let’s discuss the propensity of the FDA to exaggerate the risks and effects of smoking (and ‘exaggerate’ is being generous). When you’re exaggerating and lying, that’s not informative. That’s propaganda. The FDA is in the propaganda business.
